Basic Thought Form Creation

The basic thought form creation technique comprises five main steps which take you from the initial cultivation of thought energy in a malleable form through to daily attendance to maintain its effectiveness as a magickal object, as follows…

Step 1 – Prepare Your Psyche
The first step to creating a thought form is to put yourself in the right frame of mind, which should be open, tranquil and confident. To achieve this state, work in solitude and prepare your environment so that it is comfortable and relaxing. Ensure that the room is not too hot or too cold. You can work in silence or – if you prefer – play gentle music or natural ambient sounds (such as rainfall or ocean surf) quietly in the background.

Some people like to use incense and / or light a candle to focus their mind. If you are one who would like to use incense, then you may wish to select a Patchouli variety, as this is often useful when working with internal imagery, as you will be doing when using this technique.

When you have prepared the environment, sit in a comfortable position and spend a few minutes relaxing your body and mind. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Allow all tense, stressful and anxious thoughts to leave your mind and body.

Step 2 – Cultivate Thought Particles
With your eyes open, place the palms of your hands together and rub them back and forth vigorously for approximately fifteen to twenty seconds. Then hold the palms approximately eight inches apart and focus on the tingling sensation that can be felt in each palm.

As you do this, imagine tiny specks of silver/grey light – which you can think of as thought particles – emanating from both palms towards the gap between the palms. Imagine hundreds of thought particles gathering between the palms to form a dense silver/grey cloud. Spend at least two minutes making this cloud of thought particles as dense as possible.

Step 3 – Create A Sphere
Now use the palms of your hands and your imagination to mold the cloud of thought particles into a firm sphere of thought matter. The sphere should be about the size of a clenched fist, and you can imagine it to be similar to a ball of silver/grey dough or very soft and spongy modelling clay.

As you use your hands and imagination in unison, you should not be surprised if you find that you actually seem to feel the sphere in an almost physical way. This is just a sign that your focused concentration is firing the associated sensory mechanism in your brain. In other words, it’s a sign that you are particularly talented when it comes to matters of visualisation. It isn’t at all necessary to get this sensation, however, so don’t be concerned if you don’t happen to experience it.

Step 4 – Mold A Thought Form
Now that you have a sphere of thought matter, you should decide on something that you would like to attract into your life and choose a three dimensional symbol or model which represents that desire. Here are some examples to clarify this:

– If you wanted to experience a greater level of physical fitness, an appropriate 3D symbol might be a sculpture of yourself as you wish to be.

– If you wanted to experience a greater sense of peace and calmness in your life, an appropriate 3D symbol might be a sculpture of yourself in a meditation pose.

– If you wanted to attract a new flow of wealth into your life, an appropriate 3D symbol might be a bar of gold bullion.

When you have decided on what you want to attract into your life and selected a 3D symbol which is appropriate to that desire, close your eyes and imagine the sphere of thought matter being sculpted into that symbol. There is no need to imagine the actual sculpting process if that does not come easy to you – simply allow the sphere to reform itself into the selected 3D symbol.

Now open your eyes and image seeing the silver/grey thought form floating between the palms of your hands. Change the colour and texture of the thought form as appropriate. For example, if you have created a thought form of a bar of gold, give the thought form a gold colour and a heavy, metallic texture.

Step 5 – Position & Maintain Your Thought Form
Now that your thought form is complete, take it and physically place it somewhere safe. Treat the thought form with all the respect you would treat a physical sculpture or work of art, and place it somewhere you pass on a regular basis, such as on a mantelpiece, desk or in the bedroom. When you have done this, take a few moments each day to pause and ‘admire”’ your thought form. This regular input of new thought ‘maintains’ its structure and helps to increase its magickal properties.

The length of time it takes to start noticing the attractive work of your thought form varies from person to person, but in most cases you can expect to have at least some evidence of its effectiveness within ten days. This could be a relatively minor manifestation (such as receiving a brochure relating to your desire through the mail) or it could be the actual arrival of the desire itself (such as suddenly noticing that you are feeling much more peaceful and calm). Whatever the case, be patient, continue maintaining your thought form on a daily basis and, in the meantime, do whatever you can via mundane means to help speed things up.
